    We’re looking for someone who would like to learn or increase their expertise in nonprofit tax compliance to join our team as a tax preparer.

    DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Preparing Forms 990, 990-PF, and 990-T and supporting workpapers
    • Preparing state information and tax returns
    • Managing deadlines / timely delivery of projects
    • Using a variety of software platforms to prepare returns and manage client workflow
    • Building business relationships directly with clients and auditors to obtain information needed to prepare the returns and to resolve questions
    • Writing, proofreading, and editing technical statements and narratives
    • Answering client questions during the tax prep process
    • Writing responses to IRS and state notices
    • Working collaboratively with colleagues in both tax and audit to provide a great client experience with the firm
    • For Senior level, reviewing the work of others, taking responsibility for your review points, and providing timely and useful review points to others on the team; taking on beginning-level supervisory responsibility for training and mentoring colleagues

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline
    • CPA license preferred
    • Minimum of 1 year professional / client service experience
    • Minimum of 1 year experience with US tax preparation in public accounting, exempt organizations tax prep preferred
    • Familiarity with other return types helpful
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
    • Technical proficiency in tax software applications
    • Strong research, writing and analytical skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
